Inside Anthropologie Kings Road

I thought I'd share some snaps I took on my visit to London's Kings Road Anthropologie store last week. My favorite things were the candles - (I love candles and theirs always look and smell divine!) the ceramic shadow boxes and the painted furniture.

Interiors: Incredible Work Place - URBN Headquarters

Hello you! Sorry for lack of posts - again! I am still busy working on my 'secret project' but I will reveal all soon! Not only am I working on this exciting opportunity but I am also delighted to be busy with a lot of custom wedding orders too so I am a very happy bunny right now!

The above images are of the Philadelphia headquarters of URBN also known as Urban Outfitters and owners of Anthropologie, Free People, Terrain and BHLDN.

Have I ever told you what a huge fan I am of Anthropologie? Who isn't?
Anyways! ;)

Wouldn't this be an amazing place to work? I don't know about you but if I am in beautiful surroundings I feel a whole lot happier and more productive! The guys that work here must quite look forward to going to work every day. Love the way they have actual trees growing in there - extra oxygen to infuse those incredibly creative minds!

More on the secret project coming soon!

nice thing to look at : etsy faves

i thought i would share with you some of my favourite etsy finds. i have so many Etsy favourites at the moment but sadly they are usually sold by the time i get a chance to buy any of them! not to worry, at least i can still look at them and share them with you.

one: bark decor
two: pink elephant jewellery
three: russian soul vintage
four: curly cue design

i especially love number four the 'Buster Cotton Patch' by curly cue design, they also have some amazing steam-punk paper doll puppets, ideal for Halloween.

this weekend i am going camping and canoeing, i can't wait, i have never been canoeing before. my husband has been several times and he loves it and i know i will too as i love anything to do with water so it should be fun. the weather here (in the UK) is incredibly warm for late September and considering we are expecting snow in October - rather bizarre, but thats British weather for you!

nice thing to look at - 9000

i just had to share these amazing art works with you today. they are by 9000 and they have a big cartel store here . these super high quality digital art prints are so my kind of thing and incredibly clever. i wish i had the brains to create such imaginative art work. unsurprisingly both of these art works have sold out but i shall be keeping my eyes open for more. at 21.3 X 16.9 inches, a pair of these would be ideal for one of my many bare unloved walls.

while on my little web surfing exercise yesterday i also came across this other fab site that i had to share with you and it is probably the most valuable and useful blog i have come across all to date.

it's called the graphics fairy and i absolutely love it because the lovely lady - Karen, that runs the blog sources fantastic images such as clip art and vintage printables - ranging from anatomical diagrams to botanical prints to postcards and, in all manner of themes. the GREAT news is that she is more than happy for you to use any of them for FREE in your personal AND RESALE projects. also, she makes sure they are all copyright free too - so you don't have to. i don't think i can describe quite how exited i am about finding this blog. there are literally thousands of clip art downloads to choose from. no wonder she has 11,000 plus followers.

here is more info on her terms and some information about copyright - a very important subject when using vintage images for your resale projects.

some of my favourite vintage printables from the blog -

check out this cool craft project based on the top phrenology diagram here. i SO wish i had found this site sooner!

inspiring etsy shop - la boom!

hello chums, today i invite you to be astounded by these amazing creations available at La Boom! on etsy.

i am so exited about everything available in this shop including these shadowboxes and light boxes. i could just imagine (until the bank balance allows at least!) a whole row of these shadowboxes and light boxes on my dining room mantelpiece - they would look stunning glowing away at night time wouldn't they?

la boom! is owned by Tatiana Kontouli  and she is based in Antiparos, Cyclades Greece (sounds nice there) and along with shadowboxes and light boxes she also creates brooches, pedestals, bunting and more.. prepare to be seriously impressed.

the prices are really reasonable for the effort that clearly goes into creating these items at only £12.70 ($20) for a light box - they are a steal, there is also a spring sale on in the shop for a 10% discount take a look at her shop announcementand if that wasn't good enough she even offers international shipping - yippee!

take a look at Tatianas wonderful shop here. her blog here and her projects blog here.

i don't know what the weather is like where you are but i thought i would share some vintage voque summery covers for you to cheer you up anyway. can you believe that some of these covers are over 70 years old?
